Our History
From Four Machines to a Legacy of Hope
In 2000, a group of generous individuals from the United Kingdom, led by Malik Ehsaan, a Chartered Accountant from Manchester, donated four dialysis machines to establish the first dialysis centre in Gujranwala Division at the old DHQ Hospital.
What began as a gift of compassion grew into the Al-Shafe Dialysis Complex, providing free, life-saving treatment to thousands of kidney patients under the leadership of Syed Amir Haider Karmani.
Twenty-six years later, in 2026, our journey has come full circle. Al-Nafe Welfare Organisation is now a registered charity in the United Kingdom—the very country whose generosity laid our foundation.
From four donated machines to an international charitable mission, our commitment remains unchanged: serving humanity and saving lives.
